who passed away peacefully at St. Gabriel’s Villa, Chelmsford on February 5th, 2019. Loving husband of Inez (Sandy) Ellen Racette (nee Sanders) predeceased May 2008. Loving father of Sandra (Howard Illsley) of Chelmsford and Blain (Yvonne) of Dowling. Cherished “Poppy” of Corrine (Neal Rinta) of Coldstream, BC; Preston (Vikki) of Sudbury & Dylan of North Bay; Clayton Illsley (Teresa) of Sudbury & Dinah Illsley of Chelmsford. Henry loved and was proud of his two precious great-grandchildren; Rylee Rinta and Francesco Illsley. Son of the late Jean-Baptiste & Corrine (nee Brunet) Racette. Brother of the late Ernest, Aurel, Laura, Rolande Laurin and Theresa Bobbie. Henry was born in Espanola on April 14, 1929. Henry worked for Inco. He enjoyed spending his summers at the family cottage on Vermillion Lake and later at Halfway Lake Provincial Park. Henry loved to skidoo, hunt, fish and work in his garden. Henry helped build Larchwood Memorial United Church in Dowling. The family thanks the staff and nurses at St. Gabriel Villa, Chelmsford for their dedication and good care to our father throughout the years. In honouring Henry’s request; there will be no visitation. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. Donation to the Larchwood Memorial United Church, Dowling or St. Gabriel Villa, Chelmsford would be appreciated.
