The Family announces with great sorrow the passing of Monica O’Neill (nee Lisiecki), August 16, 2019. Beloved wife of Frank O’Neill predeceased 2011. Loving mother of James (Suzie), Dan (Merilee), Hugh predeceased 2010, Greg (Elaine), Matthew (Janis). Cherished Grama (Baba) of Aeron, Jessica, Heather, Lindsay, Katie, Darby Cameron, Rory, Bradley, Jason, Adam, Cassidy, Aiden, Deaglan and several great grandchildren. Dear sister of Sophie (Fred). Born in Poland, Monica arrived in Canada at the age of 9. She and her parents settled in Copper Cliff. Monica graduated from Copper Cliff High School at the top of her grade 13 class and continued on to become a nurse. Monica’s talents were many. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, painting, needlework and making the best meals (and desserts) ever. She and Frank spent summers at their camp on Tyson Lake always surrounded by family and friends.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, and Personal Support Staff at St. Joseph’s Villa for their kind compassionate care.
Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium with a private family service and interment at St. Stanislaus Cemetery on Tuesday, August 20, 2019.
